Instruction for Deep Cleaning the Housing Filter

To keep the juicer in good working condition for a long time, it is important to maintain a clean housing filter as possible, by daily cleaning right after juicing, and periodic deep cleaning.

If the housing filter is not completely washed right after juicing :

  • Calcium/mineral deposits on the housing filter screen.

  • The filter screen can start to form a thin dark greenish or reddish film.

  • The holes will start to be clogged. If the holes are clogged, the wet pulp will come out through the holes where the pulps come out. Also, if this condition persists, the juice will go into the gearbox and damage the machine's gear or bearings.

[How to clean the housing filter daily]

  1. The housing filter should be cleaned right away after juicing.
  1. Scrap the fibers/ pulps placed on the housing filter with a screen scraper under the warm water.
  1. Wipe the outer part of the filter with the premium brush under the running warm water.
  1. Brush the inner part of the filter with a cleaning brush. While cleaning the inner part, please move the brush back and forth and turn it left and right under the warm water.
  1. Please wipe the holes until no pulp or fiber is stuck under the warm water.
  1. After cleaning, remove the water on the surface with a dry towel.

[How to deep clean the housing filter #1 (every two or three weeks)]

  1.     First, soak the screen housing (Please sock the screen area only, not the sensor area of extraction housing) in a mixture of Citric Acid and Boiling Waterovernight (Ratio of Citric Acid and Boiling water: 2 to 8. The higher pH level is more effective for removing the residue/mineral/calcium).

  1.     The next day, take it out and rinse it under warm water.

  1. For better results, spray extra citric acid powder on the surface of the outer and inner parts of the filter before brushing.

  1.     Wipe the outer part of the filter with the premium brush.

  1. Then, brush the inner part of the filter with a cleaning brush. During cleaning the inner part, please move the brush back and forth and turn it left and right.

  1.     Remove the water with a dry towel.

  1.     After that, checkthe holes under the light.

  1.     If the holes are still clogged, please repeat this method. *(If you do not find it, you may skip this part.)

  1. After that, checkthe inner part of the filter under the light. If dried residue or pulps are covered on the inward surface, please scrap it slightly with the screen scraper. Also, please use the long flathead screwdriver to scrap dry residue or pulps placed deep inside. Then rinse it with warm water. *(If you do not find it, you may skip this part.)

  1. If the dried residue or pulps are stillcovered on the inner surface, please repeat this method. *(If you do not find it, you may skip this part.)
  2. If all dried residue or pulps are gone, dry the filter for half an hour.
  3. After that, slightly tap all the holes with the cleaning brush like the pictures below. This method helps drop down the dried residue stuck in the holes.

Be sure not to place the magnetic sensor area in the bucket of water. It should be tipped up in the air facing the ceiling, but the rest of the housing can be soaked in the water.
